Green River Fossil Plant Leaf G300

Fossil plant material from the Eocene Green River Formation in Kemmerer, Wyoming. These fossils are approximately 55 million years old. This irregular plate features a complete poplar leaf Leguminosites lesquereuxiana. There is a natural fracture through the bottom portion of this leaf which has been stabilized. This fossil plate weighs 6.0 oz. and measures 4 3/8 in. by 2 7/8 in. by 1/2 in. thick. It has wonderful detail and is dark brown on sand colored limestone. This fossil would display nicely on a plate stand or small easel. Picture hangers can be attached to the back or it can be framed for wall hanging.
