Green River Fossil Fish Diplomystus and Branch G281

Beautiful fossil fish from the Eocene Green River Formation in Kemmerer, Wyoming. These fossils are approximately 55 million years old. This irregular plate features one Diplomystus fish swimming in a left facing direction and part of a branch or other plant material. This fish plate weighs 12.8 oz. and measures 5 7/8 in. by 4 1/2 in. by 5/8 in. thick. It has wonderful detail and is dark brown on sand colored limestone. This fish would display nicely on a plate stand or small easel. Picture hangers can be attached to the back or it can be framed for wall hanging. All of our fossils have been professionally prepared, restored, and preserved to ensure that they will retain their beauty as long outside of the ground as they did in it.
